Motor Yacht Charter in the Solent

Every season the Solent hosts many iconic sailing events, Round the Island Race, Cowes Week, Fastnet Race (biennial), Vice Admirals Cup, Yarmouth Old Gaffers, Cowes to Torquay power boat race, Taittinger Regatta, Panerai Classic Regatta to name but a few. The motor yachts provide an opportunity to view the racing boats at close quarters and keep up with the action. The larger yachts provide catering and are licensed. The smaller yachts invite you to bring your own picnic or can organise shoreside caterers on your behalf.

Lymington marina base

The yachts operate from the western end of the Solent. This is where the most spectacular scenery is to be found and several anchorages and rivers. These include Alum, Hurst, Totland and Bouldner bays, and the Lymington, Yar and Beaulieu rivers. A favourite destination is Newtown Creek or continue up the Solent to Cowes and the Medina River to discover the Folly Inn. But from our Lymington base, the beautiful beaches of Studland Bay, the start of the Jurassic coast, and Poole harbour in Dorset are in range for a day return trip. You will pass the spectacular Needles rocks marking the far western end of the Isle of Wight on route.
